Attention Water Safety Instructors and Instructor Trainers: Register Now for the Swimming and Water Safety (r.09) Instructor Update Webcast. Information is available here Remember to send Hoosier Hills Chapter a copy of your update for your file!

The Instructor Corner URL has changed. Please update your bookmarks if you do not access it through our website.

1/10/2009 The Hoosier Hills Chapter is now using the National Red Cross Learning Management System (LMS) for instructor, student, and course information. Every instructor has an ID number and so does every student. On the new Course Record Forms (which instructors can obtain by going to the ARC Instructor's Corner above), there is a place for your LMS Instructor ID number. No matter what chapter jurisdiction that you teach in (or take a class in), please use this number so all your records are found in the same place.

Also, since students in your classes may have taken a previous ARC class, please ask them to enter their home address on the Course Record Addendum - that will make easier to see if this "Mary Smith" on LMS is the "Mary Smith" in your class.

Instructors only need to teach one class within a two year period in order to be re-authorized as an instructor. However, if the instructor is required by his or her job to have a current certification in basic level skills or if he or she wants to be able to use safety skills outside the classroom, then instructors need to renew their basic level certification by taking a Challenge or Review class.
